Completing Your Profile
Setting your stream, subjects, school, and district after signup.
Onboarding runs automatically after registration (or on first login via Google). It has two steps.
Step 1 — Your Name
Enter your full name. If you signed up with Google, this is pre-filled from your Google account.
Step 2 — Academic Profile
All fields are optional but strongly recommended — they personalize your experience. Without them, Epis won't give you personalized responses or adapt to your style.
A/L Exam Year — cannot be changed after setup, so choose carefully (e.g. 2026, 2027, 2028...). This determines your cohort for account renewal and marketplace paper access windows.
Stream — pick one: Maths, Biology, Engineering Technology (ET), Bio Systems Technology (BST), Commerce, Arts, or Common. For every stream except Common, your subjects are auto-filled.
Subjects — predefined streams lock your subjects in automatically (e.g. Maths stream = Combined Maths, Physics, Chemistry). On the Common stream, you pick exactly 3 unique subjects yourself.
School — free text, e.g. "Royal College Colombo".
District — a dropdown of all 25 Sri Lankan districts. Your Z-score is calculated according to your exam district.
Can't find your stream, subjects, or year? Contact Support.
Exam year is permanent. Once you complete onboarding, you cannot change your exam year from the UI. If you made a mistake, contact support.

Skipping Onboarding
You can click "Skip for now" at any step. You'll land on the dashboard with a minimal profile. Return anytime via Account → Profile to fill it in.
