Taking a Module Test
How to start a topic-specific practice test from Modules.
Step-by-Step
Open Modules — Sidebar "Modules" or Dashboard "Module Tests" tile.
Pick your subject — Dropdown at top (defaults to your first enrolled subject). Search bar filters units.
Click "View" on a unit — Opens Module Config Modal.
Configure the test:
- Year range: e.g., 2020–2024 (must have questions in range)
- Duration: 10–120 min (default 30)
- Sounds: Bell at end, Vibrate every 1.5 min/page
Questions load — "Preparing Your Test" screen fetches questions for the unit/year range.
Timer starts — 10 questions per page.
During the Test
Timer
- Counts down from your chosen duration
- No auto-submit — at 0:00, timer stops, bell plays (if enabled), you must click Submit
- Bell at end (toggleable)
- Vibration every 1.5 min per page (toggleable) — helps pace yourself
Answering
- In-Paper mode only (no Answer Sheet)
- Click option A–E on each question
- Selected answer highlighted blue
- Change anytime before submit
Navigation
- Sidebar page numbers (1–N) — click to jump
- Bottom Prev/Next buttons
- Smooth scroll to top (next) or bottom (prev)
Sound/Vibration Settings
Open Settings (gear icon) → "Sounds" submenu:
- Enable Sounds — master toggle
- Bell at timer end — plays when timer hits 0
- Vibrate at 1.5min/page — device vibration (mobile) or audio beep (desktop)
- Test Vibrate button to preview
Vibration uses the browser Vibration API. Works on Chrome/Android; Safari/iOS may play a beep instead.
Submitting
- Click Submit (sidebar/top bar)
- Confirm dialog shows unanswered count
- Click Submit again
- You're scored right away:
- Score %
- Correct/Total
- Per-question time (GREEN under 60s, BLUE 60–120s, RED over 120s)
- Time dots per question
- Activity logged → Dashboard "Recent Activity"
- You're taken straight to the review page.
Unlike Exam Center, time expiry does NOT auto-submit. You must click Submit. If you walk away at 0:00, your answers stay unsubmitted.
Re-taking
From review page or Dashboard/Backpack → "Retake" button → new session with same config.
