Generating Quizzes & Mindmaps
Create interactive quizzes and visual mindmaps from your sources.
Two interactive actions: Quiz (MCQ practice) and Mindmap (visual concept map).
Quiz
Generates a multiple-choice quiz from your sources, playable right in Studio.
Playing a Quiz
- A card appears in your chat — click View to open the quiz.
- Pick an option for each question.
- Submit to see your score, the correct answers, and explanations.
- Reset to retry the same quiz with a clean slate.
Quizzes are a study tool, not a graded exam — they use the same credit costs as chatting with Epis, and there's no leaderboard.
Mindmap
Generates a hierarchical concept map from your sources.
Viewing a Mindmap
- Click View on the card to open the mindmap, full-screen.
- Pan and zoom with your mouse.
- Expand or collapse a branch by clicking its node.
- Downloading a mindmap isn't available yet — coming soon.
Step-by-Step (Both)
Select sources — enable the ones you want included (left panel).
Open Actions — right panel → Actions.
Click Quiz or Mindmap.
Add instructions (optional) — e.g. "10 questions, focus on formulas" or "group by sub-topic, max 3 levels deep".
Generate — it streams in, saves to your Vault, and opens automatically.
Custom Instructions Tips
| Action | Example Instruction |
|---|---|
| Quiz difficulty | "Mix easy and hard, 50/50" |
| Quiz format | "4 options each, include 'None of the above'" |
| Mindmap depth | "Max 3 levels, group by syllabus unit" |
| Mindmap style | "Use Sinhala labels, English terms in brackets" |
Vault Management
Right panel → Vault tab:
- All items — Summary, Notes, Quiz, and Mindmap items, all in one place.
- Filter by type.
- Delete — permanent. The card stays in your chat history, but "View" will say the item is gone.
- Share — generates a public link to that item.
Re-using for Study
- Turn a quiz into a summary, or a mindmap into notes, right from the Vault item.
- Enable multiple sources at once (e.g. an exam review + a PDF + a YouTube video) to generate one quiz covering all of them.
