Starting a Chat
From Dashboard: Type in the Epis Quick-Chat box → press Enter. Opens /chat with your message.
From Sidebar: Click "Chat with Epis" → fresh session at /chat.
From a shared link: opens Epis with a message already sent for you.
The Interface
- Message box (bottom) — text input + file attach + model picker
- Model selector — Lite (free), Bright (Basic+), Prof (Flash+) — locked by your plan
- PAYG indicator — shows wallet balance when daily cap hit
- Streaming responses — token-by-token, with "Stop" button
- Regenerate — hover AI message → click ⟳ for new answer
- Like/Dislike — your feedback helps us improve Epis
Model Tiers

Lite is always available. Bright/Prof need subscription or PAYG credits. Daily cap applies to subscription credits; PAYG bypasses daily cap.
Tips
- Be specific — "Explain Newton's 2nd law for a cart on an incline with friction" beats "Physics help"
- Use follow-ups — "Show the derivation" or "Give a Sinhala summary"
- Attach past papers — Epis can explain marking schemes
- Switch languages — "මේක සිංහලෙන් කියන්න" works mid-chat
