Adding Sources
Upload a PDF or image, or pull in an exam paper, module, YouTube link, or Bucket file.
Open Sources (left panel) → Add Source → pick a tab.
The 5 Source Types
Drop a file or click to upload — PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, up to 10MB.
It uploads and gets indexed automatically, so Epis can read it.
It appears in your source list — toggle it on to include it in context.
If a file ever needs re-indexing, that happens automatically — you won't need to re-upload it.
Tab: "Exam" — lists your completed Exam Center sessions.
Click one — pulls in your full results: questions, your answers, correct answers, explanations, and topic tags.
Only your own completed exams are available to add this way.
Tab: "Module" — lists your completed Module Test sessions.
Click one — pulls in the questions, answers, and explanations from that attempt.
Paste a YouTube link.
Its transcript is fetched in the background (up to the first ~8000 characters), so Epis can understand the video's content.
Only works if the video has captions or a transcript available. If it doesn't, the source is still added, just without any content for Epis to read.
Tab: "Bucket" — a grid of your Backpack → Space files (PDFs and images from your Epis chats).
Search or filter by name or type.
Click a file to add it as a source — no need to upload it again.
Reusing a file this way saves you storage and credits compared to re-uploading it.
Managing Sources
- Toggle ON/OFF — only enabled sources are included when you chat or run an action.
- Remove — takes a source out of the session.
- Label — editable, so you can rename a source to whatever makes sense to you.
Limits
- File size — up to 10MB per upload.
- YouTube transcript — the first ~8000 characters of the transcript are used.
