How PastpaperLM pricing works
No hidden limits, no surprise charges, no fine print tricks. Here is exactly what you get, how credits work, and what everything costs.
Why credits?
One simple number instead of six confusing ones.
Answering your questions with AI has real computing costs behind the scenes — and those costs are different for every question, every answer length, and every AI quality level. Instead of making you think about any of that, we created credits: one simple unit that measures all of it.
You always see your balance, you always see what a question costs before you ask it, and your usage meter updates instantly. 1 credit is worth about ₨0.33 of real AI computing.That's the whole system.
What a question costs
Three AI quality levels. Better answers use bigger AI — and more credits.
File uploads, exams and exports are always free — credits are only for AI questions. The 4 most recent exam years of past papers are free too; older and latest-year papers come from the question marketplace (see below). If we ever adjust prices, we only adjust them down, and changes never affect a period you've already paid for.
Plans
Every plan is a 30-day pass. Pay once, use it for a month. No auto-charges, ever.
Even if you somehow use up all your monthly credits early, you still get the free plan's 8 questions every single day until your month ends — on top of any wallet credits you have. Paying always gets you strictly more than free, never less.
Credit packs
One-time top-ups for big study days.
Pack credits go into your wallet: they never expire, they work on any plan (including Free), and they keep working even after you hit your daily limit. Exam week insurance.
Past papers & the question marketplace
Recent papers are free. Everything else you buy once — and it's yours.
The 4 most recent completed exam years of your stream are free for everyone, on every plan (in 2026 that's 2021–2024). The very latest year and older archives are purchasable per question — ₨2 each. Buy a full paper, a year range, a lesson, or any mix.
You never pay for the same question twice.If a paper costs ₨100 and you already own 10 of its questions from an earlier purchase, you pay ₨80 — the price always skips what's already yours.
Every marketplace payment is really a credit purchase: pay ₨80 by card and 100 credits land in your wallet, with the questions unlocked as part of the deal. Small carts (under ₨100) are paid directly from your wallet credits instead — so even a single ₨2 question is one tap.
Purchased questions stay yours for your account life — your A/L journey. After your cohort's exam, accounts wind down (you'll get plenty of notice). Sitting again? A one-time ₨1,000 account renewal carries your account and everything you bought into the next exam year (up to 2 renewals).
How subscriptions work
Like your tuition class fee — you pay when it's due, never automatically.
Common questions
What happens when I hit my daily limit?
Your daily allowance resets every morning at 5:30 AM Sri Lanka time. If you need to keep going tonight, wallet credits from a credit pack work past the daily limit.
Do my monthly credits expire?
Plan credits belong to your 30-day pass. On Basic and Flash they reset with each new pass. On Pro, Max and Ultimate, unused credits carry over when you renew within 3 days (up to one month's worth extra). Wallet credits from packs never expire at all.
Why isn't Prof on Basic?
Prof answers cost about 11× more credits than Lite, so on a 480-credit month it's easy to burn through everything in a few days. Basic includes Bright — the smart model — which covers nearly every hard question. And remember: even if you do spend your credits early, you keep the free plan's 8 questions every day, so your month never goes dark. Want Prof too? That's what Flash is for.
Will prices change?
If our costs come down, credit prices come down — we pass it on. Any change applies only to future purchases, never to a pass you've already paid for. Plan prices may occasionally adjust with currency movements; the price you see at checkout is always the price you pay.
Is my card information safe?
We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by a licensed secure payment gateway, and your account is activated the moment the payment is confirmed. Every payment receipt is visible in your account under Billing.
What about refunds?
Purchases are final, except for duplicate charges or payments that didn't activate — email support@pastpaperlm.com with the order ID from your Billing tab and we'll sort it out. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
